My Experience

Welcome to my portfolio highlighting my professional experience, internships, and volunteer involvement. Throughout these opportunities, I have developed valuable skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem solving while gaining hands on experience in a variety of environments. This page provides an overview of the work I have completed, the responsibilities I have taken on, and the experiences that have contributed to my personal and professional growth.

IT Intern at Thomas Howell Ferguson

As an IT Service Intern, I provide technical support to accountants, shareholders, and staff in a hybrid work environment. My responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues, remotely troubleshooting user workstations, and assisting with daily IT operations such as system setup and basic network support.

Through this role, I have developed strong problem-solving and communication skills by delivering technical solutions in a clear and effective manner to non-technical users, helping maintain productivity and minimize downtime.

Kappa Kappa Gamma Head Kitchen Manager

As the Head Kitchen Manager for Kappa Kappa Gamma, I oversaw daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient and sanitary meal service for more than 100 residents. I worked closely with the head chef on meal preparation and food handling while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Through this role, I developed strong leadership, organization, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.

My responsibilities also included operating and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating the replenishment of food and kitchen supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations. By helping manage resources and support kitchen staff, I contributed to a productive and well-organized dining experience for residents.

Volunteering with Relay for Life

As a Co-Captain of my fraternity's Relay For Life team, representing the fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKE), I helped organize and lead our fundraising and participation efforts in support of the American Cancer Society. Through fundraising initiatives and community involvement, I personally raised over $300 to support cancer research, patient programs, and awareness efforts. I have participated in Relay For Life events for several years and have dedicated more than 40 volunteer hours to supporting the organization's mission.

My commitment to this cause is driven by personal experiences with cancer within my family. My mother has courageously battled both breast cancer and colon cancer, and my grandfather passed away from lung cancer. These experiences have motivated me to remain actively involved in fundraising and advocacy efforts that support cancer research, provide resources for patients and families, and help advance the fight against cancer.
